GREG HOLFORD – Creative Director, Show Director, Writer

Greg Holford is an award-winning creative director, show director and writer. He has worked successfully creating and directing shows all over the world for more than 30 years. His productions have spanned a variety of venues, and have been developed and staged on behalf of many different organizations including more than 100 productions for leading US corporations, theatrical shows, and world-class entertainment parks.

He recently directed the World Press Event and Grand Opening for Harry Potter’s World of Wizarding, which opened spring 2014 at Universal Studios Japan. He also worked as creative director in Doha, Qatar to create the concept for the 2022 World Cup.

He has served as Senior Creative Director for Universal Studios Dubailand and created the nighttime spectaculars for Universal Studios Japan, Hollywood Magic and Christmastime Magic. Greg's production Fantasea of a Kingdom in Phuket, Thailand won the award for "Best Tourist Attraction in Thailand" each year from 1999 through 2005 and is now celebrating its 14th Anniversary. Mr. Holford's productions for Universal Studios Hollywood have included Totally Nickelodeon, Rugrats' Magical Adventure and Grinchmas

His theatrical productions include directing British premieres of the musicals Runaways and Working, as well as the National Concert Tour of Fame.

Mr. Holford is the founder/director of Rock Theatre, a group for young performers that is currently celebrating its 35th Anniversary and has performed at the 2000 Olympics, the World Expo in Seville, Spain, as well as numerous films such as “Sister Act II”.

Mr. Holford holds a Master of Fine Arts in directing from the University of Southern California, where he studied under the famed, Academy Award winning actor/director/producer John Houseman.

Alexandra started at a young age in the world of musical theatre on the East Coast and had the great honor to perform at the White House. Alex then moved, along with her family, to the Bay Area in California to pursue her dreams. She has two certificates in Jazz and Modern Choreography from Ohlone College and later received a scholarship to the American Musical Dramatic Academy for the Performing Arts College in Hollywood, CA. After completing her BFA in Performing Arts, Alex had the opportunity for working as Choreographers assistant for TV shows such as “The Fosters”, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Happy Endings” on ABC. Alex recently worked for Norwegian Cruise Line, performing for Nickelodeon and Legally Blonde the musical. Alex is happy to be working with Rock Theatre and to have the opportunity to pass on her “storytelling through movement” to young performers in the industry!

Kayla grew up in competition dance and has trained in hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap, and contemporary, but her main passion is hip hop.  Kayla was mentored by Jesse Santos (Jabberwockeez) when she was twelve years old until she was sixteen. She is currently Jessie’s assistant when he comes to town to teach competition dances and master classes.  Like fellow Rock Theatre choreographer Alex Drattell, she attended college at AMDA and received extensive training as a choreographer during her three years of attendance.  Having choreographed for both stage and film, Kayla started teaching dance at the age of 13 and is excited for the opportunity to share her the love of dance with the Rock Theatre cast!



The designer of Rock  Theatre’s new logo, Greg is the owner and creative director of Tandem Digital Entertainment, a Los Angeles based content-design firm. He holds B.A.
degrees in Neuroscience and Music from Colgate University. Since 2000, Greg
has been at the helm on hundreds of content-creation projects, leading
diverse teams of 3D artists, illustrators, editors and sound designers.
Greg's award-winning content creations appear on screens and in venues of
all sizes, ranging from television sets to concert arenas. Developing
initial concepts and producing finished showpieces, Greg works with event
producers, fortune 500 corporations and rock bands such as Rush and Kiss, with an unwavering focus on achieving a unique vision for each branded experience.
